November 2019

The autumn term will focus on using mixed media, drawing, collage and simple composition.


We start the month with printmaking and Xmas cards. You will need to get blank white or coloured blank cards (they usually come in sets with matching envelopes). Full materials is in the weekly newsletter each week. We will look at painting textures for autumn using both acrylics and watercolours.

What we did in October

Focused on integrating the background with subject. Using tracing paper for most  drawings 

What we did in September: 

Mixed Media materials: used white tissue papers, acrylic matt medium, pastels, coloured papers (created using paint) and also plain coloured paper

The weeks up to Christmas will be slightly experimental working from photos provided and also if you wish from your own photos.

14 November-  We will paint the cherub which can be used for Xmas card as well. Choise of watercolour or acrylics - especially if you have metallic acrylics such as gold or bronze, details in weekly newsletter


21 November - painting beautiful colours for the flamingo with watercolours
