New Cheery things!

Fed up with the news, Brexit and now Coronavirus? Coming to class really cheers me up I know that, it so nice to see everyone and painting together is a relaxing sociable activity. A month ago I never thought, just like everyone else is saying, that everything would suddenly look so different. As everyone is aware by now of the virus that is happening here it will probably affect community centres as well as schools being shut to stop the spread of the virus. At the time of writing (12 March) we are still holding classes at the centres.

I am aware though that this could change very quickly so I thought I would fill you all in with my latest project for Skyblue. It involves, over the next coming weeks, starting online art classes. There will be free test lessons coming soon which I would love you to take part in to see if it all works!

At the time of writing we have just had another busy class at Heene Community Centre and Angmering Community Centre. Its lovely meeting everyone and chatting, a real social get together as well as a learning space. It will be sad for this to stop suddenly and so with this in mind I want to continue teaching everyone and finding out how you are all getting on with painting - at home!

What's planned? Videos of me demonstrating various techniques and subjects, in depth focus on mixing colours and applying paint, access to lesson plans to inspire and online group questions and answers plus more that I am still learning about!

How will this benefit you? A few of the benefits will be: to follow along in your own time to the lesson and see how a painting is completed from start to finish. You will be able to ask questions online as well as send in your finished painting for feedback and see other questions people post about the lesson plus lots more.

So thats it for now, more details to follow to invite you to sample the free online lessons
