A big thank you to everyone who contributed to my gorgeous flowers and card, and all the lovely wishes—it really means a lot. We are celebrating 20 wonderful years of Skyblue Art Classes!

I graduated from college with my PGCE in 2002, thinking that teaching would provide an income for my painting practice. At the time, I had no idea that I would meet so many amazing people along the way. Back then, there wasn’t much internet, no email, and no website for Skyblue. I had to rely on word of mouth and flyers to keep in touch, but it worked! Gradually, people from the Worthing area started coming regularly.

As time went on, technology progressed. Everyone started getting phones, and communication shifted online, which is amazing in itself!

Over the years, the classes have grown tremendously. Many of you have been attending for five years, some for eight years or more. It has become a real community of like-minded individuals, many of whom hadn’t drawn or painted since school. Watching your progress over weeks, months, and even years has been truly inspiring!

The classes have been through many changes, including some tough times such as Covid. But it is people like you who kept showing up and helped form such lovely bonds and friendships.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again in September
