A super time to book ahead and learn new drawing and painting skills with Skyblue at Heene Community Centre in Worthing.

Our dedicated Wednesdays for beginners are great for starting to learn to draw and paint.

Here are a few of the questions I often get when people join?
How many people attend the course: this varies but between 6 and 10 sometimes a few more
What will we be painting or drawing? We work from images, chosen specially for the course. These are pre-printed and brought along to the first session for you to have a copy, each week we work from a different image.
I have never drawn or painted before, is this course the right one for me? Yes! Absolutely! I go through all of the steps, equipment needed and demonstrate how to do lots of aspects so that you can learn step by step
I've done some art but years ago and would like a refresher course do you have anything suitable? Yes you could join the Thursday Afternoon Carry on Courses in Watercolour, Acrylic and drawing.
How do I sign up or enrol for a course?: Check out which course you are interested in on the Skyblue homepage and click on 'send me more info'. This sends me an email and I can then forward you all the details of the chosen course by email (usually nearer the date of the course). This is how to enrol. You pay on the day, cash or debit card.
What courses do you run? Acrylic, watercolour and drawing courses, usually 4 weeks long, occasionally 5 weeks.
How can I find out more? Join our weekly newsletter for updates and more and see all of the paintings done throughout the year in the galleries

Here are just a few of the comments from people joining the courses

Jane helped me so much during the short course I attended. The exercises were perfect for complete novices, and Jane's manner was kind, calm and encouraging. The setting was great and the course great value.

Beginners Drawing Class, I wanted to improve my drawing skills. This was a relaxed and informal group and Jane taught us lots of techniques to improve our drawing which I certainly did. It was a lot of fun and I will be joining the next drawing class in October.
