My Recent Art Supply purchases

I recently bought a few items at Jacksons (www.jacksonsart.com) for my trips outside and to use with my new pochade box and thought I would share with you. These items are all below £20, some under £5 making it more affordable and getting quality at the same time.

Adding more and more art equipment can get heavy to carry either to class or on an outdoor sketching trip. So, one thing led to another and I ended up with a small collection.

These paper ‘blocks’ by Jacksons consist of 15 sheets (gummed all the way round making it easier to work on - just use a knife to cut underneath to take it off). If you are thinking of getting one or more for class then I would recommend a slightly larger size of A5

I also bought some gouache paints, a set of artists quality gouache Holbein : Artists' Gouache Paint : 15ml : Primary Set of 5 https://www.jacksonsart.com/holbein-artists-gouache-paint-15ml-primary-set-of-5 which complement watercolours very well, I will be trying them out when I go out and about. They are very portable and have such beautiful opaque colour mixes, just from 3 plus black and white, under £20

These sketchbooks are stitched which make it really nice when you want to paint a double page, easy to carry and with a few clips they will fix onto my pochade box really nicely. They have different papers and formats too.
