After our very busy drop-in class painting cafe scenes it was nice to talk about drawing in other locations. I used to draw wherever I could, cafes, train stations anywhere in fact. If I had to wait somewhere I would draw, one stays in my mind, I drew the queue waiting to get into an exhibition at the Royal Academy. It was fun, more people joined the queue and the drawing got longer! A woman came up to me and asked me if I was an artist and I ended up giving her a business card (I didnt hear from her). So if you are going on holiday perhaps a few pencils and a small sketchbook is in order!
