This week I received an email from a lady at Borde Hill Gardens (not far from Haywards Heath, Sussex) asking if Skyblue would like to visit them in June to paint their roses.
What a nice email to get!
2017 marks the 21st Anniversary of our beautiful Jay Robin Rose Garden at Borde Hill Garden, Haywards Heath. To celebrate the occasion, we are planning various events and we would like to invite Sky Blue Art Class to come to Borde Hill to paint/sketch for the day using the roses as inspiration. They are at their peak from mid-June to mid-July.
Furthermore, if you would like to submit your best pieces from your day here, we will select our favourites to exhibit at Borde Hill for our visitors to enjoy throughout September.
Please visit our website at www.bordehill.co.uk to see our stunning Garden with its distinctive “rooms”; I am also attaching a couple of photos of the Jay Robin Rose Garden.
Little Ritz Vintage Tea Café is located within the grounds of the Garden and offers delicious light lunches and afternoon teas for your refreshment. Café Elvira and Jeremy’s Restaurant are also available and are situated near our free car park.
So over the coming weeks I will be collecting names and arranging transport and the whole day. It will be a taught session and a picnic may be included, all prices times dates etc coming shortly. If it is successful I will plan two days one in late June and the other in July, for anyone who misses one!
