As we gradually finish classes for summer (final class on 27 July) you may be wondering what you can do over August. As this summer has been such a great one weather wise its easy to get out and about with a camera.
Why not think about future drawings and paintings? Take a camera or use your phone or a sketchbook and grab some of the lovely light and colour you see whilst you are in the garden, on holiday or having a walk. These images are really useful in months that don't have much light and can really cheer you when you need colour.
What to look for: how light lands on your subject, colours, patterns, shadows and contrast. If you are using a camera try getting up close to photograph something, fill the frame.
Don't forget to put them in a folder so you can find them!
